After a successful summer 2017 "Bould Opening,” Rock Out Climbing Gym has carried that momentum through the winter months with their launch of youth climbing programs and an Adult Bouldering League. Registration for the new Adult Bouldering League is open now, and participants can expect six weeks of friendly competition to last from Jan. 22 to March 16.

While the gym stays busy in the summer months, holidays, and even weekends, members know that a monthly membership is where its at. Regular members benefit from special events, leagues, programming, fitness collaborations, and Food Truck Saturdays.

"We set out to build a climbing community with Rock Out Climbing Gym and in the first six months, we’ve laid a solid foundation,” said owner Ken Sheyka. “We have a lot in store for 2018 to foster the development of our community and all our climbers. It’s been a lot of work, but we’re just getting started!"

Sheyka said bouldering and climbing can be for everyone and the experienced staff at Rock Out is eager and willing to help break down individual intimidation barriers.

"Climbing draws a wide range of ages who want to be social and active,” Sheyka said. “It's a neat social draw to be pushed out of your comfort zone and to have people there who are consistently supportive."

Rock Out Climbing Gym offers daily, weekly and monthly recurring memberships and the gym offers youth, military and family discounts. It is located at 2001 98 Palms Blvd. in Destin.
