Stake Conference

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will have their Stake Conference Feb. 3 at the Fort Walton Beach Stake Center, 339 Lake Drive in Fort Walton Beach. Meetings begin at 2 p.m. for the Priesthood members and at 5 p.m. for all adult members. On Sunday, Feb. 4, all members will meet fro m 10 a.m. to noon at the Crestview Community Center. Inductive Bible study

Want to learn Bible prophecy? What is in our future? "Chronological Study of Minor Prophets” — Obadiah, Joel, Jonah, and Amos — is a 13-week study at 10 a.m. for women and 6 p.m. for men/women at Enclave Condominium Clubhouse in Miramar Beach. Study may also be done by email.

The Point

A program for those in their 20s and 30s, The Point, a new young adult's program, meets from 6:30-8 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month for dinner and worship and the fourth Tuesday for an activity in the city. Grief Support Group

Fasching Party

The ladies Sodality of Corpus Christi Catholic Church is planning a Fasching Party from 5-9 p.m. Feb. 10 in the Church Hall. There will be a DJ playing German music as well as other music for your dancing pleasure, homemade food including German Bratwurst and Knackwurst from USINGERS of Milwaukee, Wis., sauerkraut, red cabbage, German potato salad, pumpernickel bread, apple cake for dessert and coffee, iced tea and lemonade. Concert at Village Baptist

Karen Peck and New River, a 5-time Grammy Award Nominated and 6-time GMA Dove Award Winning Southern Gospel Group, will perform at 6 p.m. Feb. 18 at Village Baptist Church in Destin. The concert is free with a love offering to be taken. Doors open at 5 p.m.

The group has had more than 18 number one hits. Peck’s flawless, delightful soprano voice has made its way into the hearts of Gospel Music lovers across the country.

 

Food Pantry

The Anchor Church, 101 First St SE in Fort Walton Beach, has a food pantry serving the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. People 18 and over are allowed one visit per month. A valid ID is required.

 

Radio Show

The live weekly radio show Life Issues Real Answers, hosted by Rev. Dee Chernicky, Valerie Peterson and Pastor John Skiles, airs from 11-11:30 a.m. Fridays on WPSM on 91.1 FM at 34 Harbor Blvd. Suite 206 in Destin.

 

Celebrate Recovery

Overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups every Monday night at the Destin Life Center on Beach Drive. Optional $5 dinner is at 6 p.m.; worship, 6:45 p.m.; share groups, 7:45; and a dessert fellowship at 8:30. Free childcare available for birth through fifth grade.
