Since its creation in 2012, IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida has awarded $1.7 million in grants to local nonprofits organizations in Okaloosa and Walton counties, which includes four $102,000 grants in 2017. The organization empowers women to become philanthropists and leaders so they can be a positive force for good in their community.
IMPACT 100 of Northwest Florida has announced their 2018 Board of Directors.
Leading the organization as president is Lisa Jo Spencer, who started her own law firm in 2014 after being a founding member of another local firm. After earning her law degree from Stetson University College of Law, she served in the United States Air Force and subsequently the Air Force Reserves until 2005, where she held the rank of major. She has served as a prosecutor and assistant state attorney for the First Judicial Circuit in Okaloosa County and was appointed by the chief circuit judge of the First Judicial Circuit to serve as member of the Canvassing Board for Okaloosa. Over the years Spencer has been involved in various civic and community organizations throughout Okaloosa County. She has been an active member of IMPACT 100 NWF since 2014.
