It’s time to pull out your green attire and get ready to celebrate the luck of the Irish as St. Patrick’s Day festivities abound in Northwest Florida. From parades and concerts to green beer and Irish pub fare, there is a little something for everyone on this fun-filled holiday.


South Walton

• 11th Annual 30A St. Patrick's Parade and Festival

It all kicks off with a parade as the 30A St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival will celebrate it’s 11th Annual event March 17 beginning at 2 p.m.

After the parade on Florida's Scenic Highway 30A, the party continues at Arnett’s Gulfside Farm and Stables with the band the O’Mericans and The Drake School of Irish Dance beginning at 3 p.m.

Festivities also will include face-painting, inflatable slides, kid’s activities and plenty of food and green beer.

• St. Patty’s Day Delight

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the whole family 6-9 p.m. March 17 at the Village of Baytowne Wharf at Sandestin in Miramar Beach.

Enjoy live jazz and blues music by The Blenders at the Events Plaza beginning at 6 p.m. followed by Irish dancing performed by The Drake School of Irish Dance at 7 p.m. Entertainment continues 8-9 p.m.

Want to enjoy St. Patrick’s Day and March Madness, too? Look no further than The Hub 30A. March 17 from noon to 9:30 p.m., The Hub 30A will be a happening place with food, live music by The Dozens and March Madness basketball on the 25-foot Jumbotron screen. Visit



• Irish Grogg March

HarborWalk Village is ready to party it up for St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. A $10 donation to a local charity will get you a passport to do the lucky grogg march through the bars and restaurants of the HarborWalk Village.

• World of Beer St. Patrick’s Day Party 8-11 p.m. March 17.

• McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day Extravaganza

Feasting on St. Patrick’s Day. Entertainment by JJ Smith, Brooks Hubbert, I’magene, Grape Drink and DJ Zoran.

McGuire’s 41st St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run

Join a four-decades long tradition with McGuire’s 41st Annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run in Pensacola.

The race begins and ends at McGuire’s Irish Pun in downtown Pensacola. Each runner or walker predicts how long it will take to complete the course, and the person who guesses the closest wins.

There will be a celebratory after party that includes Irish fare, drinks, coffee and beer.

Race day is March 10 starting at 9 a.m. with the after party ending at noon. Visit


Fort Walton Beach

Lucky Leprechaun 5K/10K Run/Walk

Are you feeling lucky? If so, check out the Lucky Leprechaun 5K/10K Run/Walk at 8 a.m. March 17 in downtown Fort Walton Beach.

This is the 6th Annual Lucky Leprechaun run sponsored by the Northwest Florida Track Club and Run With It, and proceeds from the race go to Ronald McDonald House in Pensacola and toward a rubber track for Fort Walton Beach High School.

There will also be a Lil’ Leprechaun 1-mile run for kids at 9 a.m. And a post-race party at KC’s Sandbar.

DeFuniak Springs

Enjoy St. Patrick's Day in DeFuniak Springs 3-8 p.m. March 17 at the 4th Annual Pig Roast to benefit the Chautauqua Hall. The day's festivities include fresh barbecue, Irish food, green beer, live music, a live auction and an Irish costume parade.
