Easter Sunrise Service

Local Lutheran churches will hold their annual Easter Sunday sunrise service at 6 a.m. at Beasley Park on Okaloosa Island. Bring chair or blanket.

Easter Sunday

Come together and celebrate Easter Sunday at GraceDestin, 4325 Commons Dr. W. Worship service is at 9:30 a.m. fol-lowed by brunch and de-votion in the fellowship hall at 11 a.m. Then the children can take part in a huge Easter Egg Hunt. Everyone is welcome.

Easter Drama

“Through the Eyes of a Fisherman,” presented through Peter’s eyes, will be held during an Easter drama at 10:30 a.m. April 1 at First Baptist Church of Destin, 201 Beach Drive. All are welcome. Come early to get a good seat.

Easter with DUMC

Destin United Methodist Church begins Easter with a sunrise service at 6 a.m. at Henderson Beach State Park. Another beach service then begins at 7:30 a.m. on the beach at The Crab Trap in Destin and on Okaloosa Island.

Worship at 9:30 a.m. on the harbor at Brotula’s Restaurant or at 9:30 a.m. for Xalt in the Destin Life Center at DUMC, 200 Beach Drive. A traditional service begins at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary.

There is no sunset beach service on Easter.

Resurrection Run/Kids Fun Run

The Annual Village Resurrection Run, 8-11 a.m. April 14, draws Emerald Coast communities together for a day of fun and friendly competition to benefit many of Village’s missions and ministries. Participants assemble at the Village start-line and head to the Crab Trap and back for the Walk/Run 5K, while the 10K Run continues further down the beach to Pompano Joe’s and back. The 10K begins at 8 a.m. and cost is $30. The 5K Walk immediately follows and cost is $10.

Special awards are presented for Male and Female Overall, Masters, and Grand Masters winners in each age group. This year there is a new Kids Fun Run for children K-5th grade beginning at 9:15 a.m. and cost is $10. Call 837-8107 for more in-formation.

UNIFIED Concert

WPSM radio and Destin's Week of Blessings present a UNIFIED Concert at 6 p.m. May 6 at HarborWalk Village. The concert will honor those who serve in churches, community and country. Music will be provided by Impulse Church Praise Team and soloist Beth White.

The Point

A program for those in their 20s and 30s, The Point, a new young adult's program, meets from 6:30-8 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month for dinner and worship and the fourth Tuesday for an activity in the city. Food Pantry

The Anchor Church, 101 First St SE in Fort Walton Beach, has a food pantry serving the public from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. People 18 and over are allowed one visit per month. A valid ID is re-quired.

The live weekly radio show Life Issues Real Answers, hosted by Rev. Dee Chernicky, Valerie Peterson and Pastor John Skiles, airs from 11-11:30 a.m. Fridays on WPSM on 91.1 FM at 34 Harbor Blvd. Suite 206 in Destin.

Celebrate Recovery

Overcome hurts, habits and hang-ups every Monday night at the Destin Life Center on Beach Drive.
