DESTIN – An Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy working an off-duty patrol at a Destin restaurant became suspicious when he heard snorting noises coming from some bushes.
He saw two men concealed in there and one came out with his hands to his face, making a snorting noise, the deputy noted.
Both of the men had a white substance on their noses and the deputy saw a plastic baggie with white powder in it next to their feet.
The deputy swabbed both of their noses and the substance tested positive for cocaine, according to their arrest reports.
Neither of the men admitted the bag was theirs, but it was a foot from where they had been standing.
The men, who were both from New Orleans, are 30 and 33. They were both charged with cocaine possession.
