DESTIN – A Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officer trespassed a man from Henderson Beach State Park after he received a complaint about the man standing and walking in the dunes, which are protected.
When the officer looked for the man, he found a camouflage shirt on the ground and followed footprints from the shirt to the man’s location behind a palmetto bush.
The man was squatting and trying to hide, according to the FWC’s weekly incident report.
The man was intoxicated and likely homeless, the officer noted. The officer escorted the man out of the park and gave him a trespass warning.
