With views of the Choctawhatchee Bay such as this, I’m always confused why people blatantly try to destroy what we have.
During a 5-minute span, covering 6 feet by 6 feet, I picked up more than two dozen cigarette butts along the bay shoreline. It takes eight to 10 years for cigarette butts to degrade, all the while leaching toxins into the soil, which in turn leach into the bay, which in turn harm the bay ecosystem. Please police your butts and take them with you.
