DESTIN - A Tennessee man was arrested for domestic violence after headbutting his wife over an argument about a divorce at the Emerald Grande in Destin.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office was called out to the Emerald Grande after reports of a family disturbance, according to an arrest report from the Sheriff's Office.
Deputies located the wife, who said she and her husband of 11 years got into an argument over a divorce and he threw an unknown object at her. He then, the arrest report said, began to walk over toward her, at which point his wife said, "Don't hit me."
He continued to walk toward her with both hands behind his back and then headbutted her. The victim had a bump, swelling and redness just above her right eye, the press release said.
The husband said he did not headbutt his wife, but that he did throw an Arizona aluminum tea can at her. He said the tea can did hit his wife.
The suspect was charged with a first degree misdemeanor for battery.
