Is it time to ask some questions about your grass, bugs, or weeds? Okaloosa County Master Gardeners invite the community to bring their plant problems to the Annex.
Come visit with a Master Gardener and get your gardening questions answered. Bring a sample of your problem weed or a sample of your grass in a plastic bag, and a Master Gardener will diagnose the problem and give you some helpful hints and solutions to insure you have the healthiest landscape on your block. You could also take a picture with your phone and bring that with you if the plant is too large, or if you need assistance in identifying a plant.
Master Gardeners will be available at the County Extension Annex, 127 Hollywood Blvd. in Fort Walton Beach, from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 14.
The Okaloosa County Master Gardeners have three office locations to assist you with your gardening and grass questions. In addition, you can bring your soil samples by the Fort Walton Beach office for testing. It is open for walk-ins on Fridays until noon. The Niceville location is at the Niceville Youth Center, 200 Campbell Drive, and is open on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Crestview office, 3098 Airport Road, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Call 689-5850 before going to insure there is a Master Gardener on duty to assist you. Soil testing at the Crestview office is on Monday mornings only.
