ROME, Ga. - Harry Satterwhite threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns in just three quarters and the University of West Alabama rolled up 505 yards total offense on the way to a 48-17 Gulf South Conference football win over Shorter Saturday at Barron Stadium.

UWA winds up a three-game road swing with a 4-2 record, 1-2 in GSC play. Shorter lost for the 34th consecutive time, dropping to 0-6 and 0-4.

Satterwhite completed 19-for-24, completed 79 percent of his throws and posting a 219.5 quarterback rating. He has now thrown 54 career touchdown passes, third all-time at UWA.

Tyler Rogers finished with 83 yards on 12 carries, moving him to eighth on the UWA career list with 1,776. He needs 86 yards to move past Gary Johnston (1,861) into seventh.

Bayley Blanchard had seven receptions for 102 yards, followed by Dominique McNealey with six for 50, Martin with five for 126 and Christian Saulsberry with five for 31.

Tyler Pullum completed 22 of 38 passes for 238 yards and a late touchdown for Shorter. Maurice Sutton had six catches for 84 yards. Weldrin Ford's 26 rushing yards led the Hawks. Nico Reddish had 11 tackles for Shorter.

Tavarius Hutchinson led UWA tacklers with seven tackles in addition to a recovered fumble and a forced fumble. Terry Samuel chipped in seven stops and returned a fumble 12 yards.

UWA returns home for the first time in a month to host Delta State on Saturday. Kickoff for Military Appreciation Day at Tiger Stadium is set for 2 p.m.
