A 24 Hour Sand Run world record attempt for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation will take place this weekend at Tops'l Beach and Racquet Resort. The challenge is to run in the sand in an attempt to break the individual Guinness World Record of 83.04 miles while raising funds and awareness for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. The event is scheduled to take place 7 p.m. Feb. 16 to 7 p.m. Feb. 17 at Tops'l.
