Woman on trampoline hit in head by golf ball in Niceville
NICEVILLE -- A woman called police Oct. 22 after being hit in the back of the head by a golf ball while jumping on a trampoline in her back yard, which backs up to the Eglin Golf Course.
She said that a black male in his mid-30s came up to her and claimed the ball, but refused to give her his name. He informed her "he was not a golfer" and apologized for hitting her with the ball, according to the Niceville Police Department incident report.
Moments later she went to the emergency room for treatment.
The police officer told her it was not a criminal matter and suggested she call the golf course pro shop.
The woman told the dispatcher during the initial call that there have been "ongoing problems" with the course.
