Work on Boshamps Oyster House is well on its way, General Manager Miller Phillips tells The Log.
They are currently working on the boardwalk behind the old Flamingo Café location, which is starting to take shape based on before and after pictures.
“We’ve completely gutted the interior, but are keeping that a secret until we are finished,” he said. Boshamps is expected to open by this Spring.
“For as long as I've been alive, the harbor has been Destin's crown jewel and grossly underutilized,” Phillips wrote. “Can you imagine the boost to Destin's economyand excitement that the new boardwalk will bring? I vote that it goes from the Destin Bridge all the way to the Louisiana Lagniappe.”
