Destin doctor selected as “Houston Top Doc” and “Texas Super Doctor”

James R. Patrinely, MD FACS was named a “Texas Super Doctor” by “Texas Monthly” magazine. Doctors were selected through a poll of 38,000 medical professionals who were asked one question: “If you needed medical care, which doctor would you choose?”

In addition, “H Texas” magazine honored Patrinely as one of “Houston’s Top Docs for 2009.” The designation was compiled through a combination of peer voting and reader nominations and represents the top 2 percent of doctors in the Greater Houston area.

Dr. Patrinely has been recognized by his peers for selection in “The Best Doctors in America” and “The Best Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.” He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, and a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgeons.

Dr. Patrinely graduated from Vanderbilt University Medical School before undergoing postgraduate specialty training at Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Utah, and Johns Hopkins University. He holds academic appointments in both ophthalmology and plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine and the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

An active clinical investigator, Dr. Patrinely has written extensively about his specialty, authoring books and more than 250 articles.

Dr. Patrinely practices at 7720 Highway 98, Suite 130 in Destin and at 5147 N. 9th Avenue, Suite 203, in Pensacola.
