LETTER: Hog wild about a Destin Harley rally? Count me out

Please let us know when the Harley riders plan to be in the Destin area for their 2010 rally.
My family wants to make sure we do not plan to rent a cottage during that time. I understand these bikers might be a well-behaved group, however, you will be “opening the door” for others who could be destructive and loud.
Will extra law enforcement officers be needed to monitor the traffic and congestion — and who will pay for this?
Ask Myrtle Beach, S.C., about the problems they have with bikers. Perhaps they may have some good advice!
