Ida dumps 2.33 inches of rain on Destin
As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, Destin had received 2.33 inches of rain from the storm formerly known as Hurricane Ida
Community Development Department Administrative Assistant Larry Beat said the city received .82 inches Monday, then 1.51 on Tuesday, with most of the rain falling between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. The strongest gust of wind was 43 mph at 1:54 a.m.
This was November's first rainfall in Destin. It puts the city .79 inches above average for Nov. 1 to 10 and 3.81 inches above average — 57.71 inches — for this point in the year.
