A 37-year-old man was arrested and charged with making a bomb threat at the Destin Library Monday afternoon.

The library was evacuated, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. Dogs searched the area for explosives, but found none.

Sekou McClarence, who is homeless, reportedly walked into the library around noon and someone mentioned calling the police. In response, McClarence said “tell ‘em it’s a bomb,” according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies found McClarence walking east on U.S. Highway 98 after the incident. He was charged with uttering a bomb threat and was taken to the Okaloosa County Jail for booking.
