Man arrested for resisting officer at bowling alley: 'Don't touch me!'

DESTIN – A 29-year-old man was arrested for resisting an officer at a bowling alley after employees said he punched a security guard.

A deputy responded to Hurricane Lanes Bowling Center in reference to a battery around 11:15 p.m. March 13, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report. Employees said they tried to kick the man out when he started fighting and punched a security guard.

When the deputy made contact with the man and told him he was being detained, the man said, “No! No you’re not!” According to the report, the man jerked away from the deputy, said, “No, don’t touch me!” and started wrestling with the deputy.

Three employees helped the deputy bring the man to the ground, the report said. He was arrested for resisting an officer without violence and is due in court April 6.
