Jet ski crash in Gulf sends two sisters to hospital

Two sisters were airlifted to Sacred Heart Hospital Sunday afternoon after the jet ski they were riding on collided with another about a half mile out in the Gulf of Mexico, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Stan Kirkland.

The sisters, 20-year-old Natasha S. Albo and 22-year-old Falon K. Albo, were vacationing on Pensacola Beach with their family. They were riding a rental jet ski in the Gulf, when they collided with one driven by 21-year-old Carlos Diaz, who is dating one of the girls, Kirkland said.

There were no witnesses.

Kirkland said he wasn’t sure how the girls got into shore, but assumed that Diaz may have transported them.

All three are from Louisiana.

Alcohol is not believed to have played a role in the crash, which is under investigation, Kirkland said. Charges may be filed.
