Police: Man breaks into house, steals TV, hides under bed
DESTIN – A 20-year-old Mobile man broke into a house and tried to hide under a bed when law enforcement arrived, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
Gregory Lee walked up to the back side of a house on Gulf Shore Drive with two other people on Nov. 15, according to the report. Lee and the others pried a sliding glass door open, entered, and took a flat screen television, a DVD player and four remote controls.
When deputies arrived on the scene, all three fled on foot while deputies gave commands to stop, the report said. Lee retreated into the residence, hid under a bed, and did not obey when told to come out.
Lee is charged with unarmed burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft and resisting an officer without violence. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 5.
