DeFUNIAK SPRINGS – A 41-year-old man was arrested Friday after lawmen found marijuana plants growing in the woods near his residence.
Investigators found and unearthed 33 plants growing near the residence of John Crober Jr., who lives on the 100 block of East Raphael Road, according to a Walton County Sheriff’s Office news release. Crober admitted to watering and caring for the plants.
A search of his home yielded marijuana and paraphernalia, which Crober admitted belonged to him, the release said.
Crober is charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
