Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and the Sandestin Wine Festival are starting this holiday season with a special sparkling event. The Village of Baytowne Wharf will be lit with holiday décor and cheer for "Sparkling Wine and Holiday Lights" presented by the Sandestin Wine Festival, Saturday, Nov. 16 from 4-7 p.m.

"This night has quickly become a new signature event for Baytowne Wharf,” event organizer Lanier Motes. “The sparkle of both the lights and the wine is a beautiful way to kick off the holiday season."

The Sparkling Wine and Holiday Lights event will feature more than 30 sparkling wines and delicious appetizers at featured Village restaurants. Guest will enjoy the sounds of live music and carolers, and the night will end with the first Tree Lighting of the season and the Village's choreographed light show, 12 Nights of Lights.

Featured menu items include Tuna Tartare with grapefruit avocado topped with a sweet soy glaze from Bistro Bijoux.

Tickets are on sale for only $40 per person and come with a commemorative glass.

This special event is part of a series associated with the Sandestin Wine Festival, a treasured tradition for 28 years. The Sandestin Wine Festival is the longest, continuously running wine festival in the Southeast. Thousands of people enjoy festival events including Sparkling Wine and Holiday Lights in November, plus Wine Dinners, Seminars and Grand Wine Tastings April 10-13.
