Destin man claims $45,359 share of Fantasy Five

TALLAHASSEE — The Florida Lottery announced today that Robert Sobczak, 57, of Destin, claimed his share of the $226,795.69 Fantasy 5 top prize, drawn on March 4. The drawing produced five top prize winners, all of which have been claimed.

Sobczak received a one-time, lump-sum payment in the amount of $45,359.13. The winning Fantasy 5 Quick Pick ticket was purchased from Winn-Dixie, located at 981 U.S. Highway 98 in Destin. Sobczak is a big fan of Fantasy 5 and could not be happier about his winnings. He is a regular player and always purchases his lottery tickets from Winn-Dixie.

Total ticket sales for this top prize generated approximately $292,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $20 billion to the EETF, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.
