Stiff 'n' Sore: Shark wows weekend crowd at AJ's (PHOTOS)
What appeared to be a bull shark was hauled over the starboard side of the Stiff n’ Sore onto a busy dock just below AJ’s Saturday.
By the time the lifeless body of the shark flopped onto the dock, a tiny crowd had already gathered to witness the giant catch, which seemed to be about 8-feet long.
Alan Laird, owner of AJ’s, made his way down on the docks to check out the scene and encouraged people to come give it a look.
An informal line was quickly assembled in order to get a picture with it. One of the more popular poses was to kneel over the dead beast and lifts it’s top jaw to show off its mouth. People walking by who had somewhere to be stopped long enough to pull out their phones and snap a photo of the spectacle.
According to fisherman standing nearby the shark was already dead by the time they reeled it in. It won’t be eaten, but may be used for bait.
