LETTER: An oil spill won't keep this ‘old man' away
For the past 30 years I have made the Gulf Coast my playground.
Fishing in Destin, Thunder Beach Rally in Panama City, a bike rally, gaming in Biloxi, football games in the Superdome at New Orleans.
I am an old man who will most likely not live to see the restoration of this, my second home. I read of the struggles in your beautiful county with tears in my eyes.
I will be back down because of the wonderful people I have met on the coast in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. If I can't swim I will hit the casino, if I can't fish I will play golf, but I will not let the spill keep me away.
