Woman arrested after attempting to steal ‘Smart & Sexy' bras
DESTIN – A 21-year-old woman was arrested July 11 on charges of larceny.
The woman was seen in the lingerie section selecting three “Smart & Sexy” bras, four George lace bikinis and three pairs of cotton panties at the Walmart on Emerald Coast Parkway in Destin, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s report.
The woman was seen taking the tags off the merchandise and placing them in a Bealls’ department bag. She then attempted to leave the store through the grocery exit without paying.
The bras were valued at $10 each, lace bikinis at $3 each and cotton panties at $1 each, the report stated. The total value of the items was $45.

Man arrested when caught sitting at picnic table
DESTIN – A 54-year-old man was arrested July 5 on charges of trespassing.
According to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s report, the man had been issued multiple trespass warnings for Destin Community Center on Stalhman Avenue.
Then, on July 5, the man was seen by staff of the community center sleeping under the awning of the community center and they contacted the Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, the deputy saw the man sitting at a picnic table with his personal items spread out on the table top “as if he had been at that location for awhile.”
