WOMAN HIT BY BULLET AT DESTIN FIREWORKS SHOW

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that took place around 9:40 p.m. July 4th along the Destin Harbor. Witnesses say a woman and her friends were watching the fireworks on docks near Emerald Grande Tower when the woman suddenly clutched her shoulder and fell to the ground. She was taken by medical helicopter to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, suffering from a gunshot wound. At last word she was in good condition.
The victim has been identified as 23-year old Stephanie Kaye Little is from Florence, Mississippi. Deputies say there are no indications of foul play. It appears someone randomly fired a weapon into the air and the bullet struck Little on its way back down. Fortunately that bullet did not strike any vital areas.
