Ron Hart blogs: Palin shows substance, sex appeal

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- It was a big night here for the Republicans. Sara Palin, who is a great choice for VP, spoke with humor, insight and a down home appeal that wowed the crowd of party faithful.

To me, Sarah Palin looks like one of those naughty librarians in those Cinemax movies that I never watch. She is just one insignificant prompting from pulling her hair pin out and dancing her Dewey Decimals dance. My guess, and it is only theory at this point: Guys will dig her. She combines substance and sex appeal. I have found that if one of these traits does not appeal to a man, the other one will.

There were a few stars here too, who risk any future roles or gigs by doing so. The liberal Hollywood elite that are the most liberal of all take notice of  those that appear at the RNC and start their own black list. I did talk to Jon Voight, who was omnipresent here. My guess is he is here to raise the stakes in his 20-year estrangement from his liberal daughter Angelina Jolie. Touche', your  move next Angelina!

The column this week will detail the RNC and where we are in the race. Stay tuned.

Ron Hart is a Southern libertarian and investor who writes a weekly column for The News Herald.
