LETTER: Destin's cat quandary

This is my first visit to Florida. I am amazed by the beauty of the local area. I am also impressed with how nice everyone is.

I am, however, very concerned with your cat situation. I have seen many cats here running in groups and living out of garbage cans in parking lots.

Please consider donating to your local animal humane society. Take a cat in to be neutered or spayed and see that it gets good medical care.

Survival is very difficult for our feline friends. They need your help.
