Letter: Who is pulling Obama's strings?

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., told President Obama she wants a “Truth Commission” to investigate the interrogation policies approved after 9/11 — an option that several congressional far left Democrats support. She also states that she was never briefed back in 2002 when she was on the committee.

Contrary to these remarks is an excerpt from a front page article in the Washington Post on Dec. 9, 2007, by staff writers Joby Warrick and Dan Eggen.

“Officials say House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) attended secret CIA briefings on interrogation procedures that clearly laid out the details of waterboarding and other ‘harsh’ CIA interrogation techniques in 2002. With one known exception, no formal objections were raised by the lawmakers briefed about the ‘harsh’ methods during the two years in which waterboarding was employed, from 2002 to 2003, said Democrats and Republicans with direct knowledge of the matter.”

“The lawmakers who held oversight roles during this period included Pelosi and Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) and Sens. Bob Graham (D-Fla.) and John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.), as well as Rep. Porter J. Goss (R-Fla.) and  Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan).”

Why can't these politicians tell the truth?

Our country's safety is on the line. President Obama continues to flip flop on his decisions regarding the safety of our country by releasing classified material that former CIA directors advised him not to do.

So, I ask who is pulling the strings of Puppet President Obama? Is it George Soros, Moveon.org or is this all a diversionary tactic to take the problems of our economy and job losses off the radar screen.
