POLL BLAMES BLACK SAND ON RESTORATION

In a recent Destin Log poll, we asked readers in the black sand stories, “Do you think the streaks of black sand in Crystal Beach were caused by the 2006-2007 beach restoration?” Of about 550 votes cast, a whopping 87 percent of respondents said yes, while only 8 percent said no. Three percent replied that the situation needed more investigating while about 1 percent didn’t care.

This week’s question is “Should the Destin Fishing Rodeo hold Shark Saturdays during its annual October tournament?”
