Letter: Be thankful that you have sand of all colors
My name is Larry Wilson and I was in the land clearing business for about 30 years. I have seen the “man-made” mess as the paper said, but this black sand is natural sand taken at different depths.
I believe if you look in different areas you will find that each has its own natural colors that show up at different times. In Crestview, for example, we see the white layers with pink pieces or red pieces of clay.
Folks, wake up!! If you read Sunday’s headlines, the storms and hurricanes have been coming along before you and I came here and will come again after we’re gone.
My suggestion to you is to be thankful for what you have and hope it never gets any worse for you. We have four to seven storms expected this season. Let’s hope they don’t show up, and if they do, that they are small ones.
Remember there are always some worse off than we are.
