A&M wins battle of the lawn lords
J.D. Dorsey tossed in 18 points to lead A&M Lawn Care to a 66-51 win over Lawn Keepers in the 18-plus Adult Basketball League at the Destin Community Center.
Dorsey made six two-pointers and six free throws.
At the half, Lawn Care led by 10 points.
Damen Maddox knocked down 17 points for Lawn Care, and Jarrod Honrada hit one 3-pointer for 13 points.
Tramaine Coleman tossed in two 3s on his way to 17 points for Lawn Keepers. Nolan Lang scored nine points, and Darrell Lewis contributed eight points.
•The A-Team 96, Buckets 29
The A-Team started like gangbusters outscoring Buckets 52-16 in the first half.
Arthur Richardson led the efforts of A-Team with six 3s on his way to 28 points. Tory Kirkwood made three 3s and 18 points, and Quente McCarty tossed in one 3-pointer en route to 11 points.
Jesse Schober scored 10 points for Buckets. Vince Gerage hit one 3-pointer on his way to nine points.
•Johnny O’Quigley’s 66, Best Buy 44
In the first half, Johnny O’Quigley’s stepped out to a 28-17 lead.
Brandon Sayen tossed in three 3-pointers on his way to 20 points for Johnny O’Quigley’s. Jordan Colson scored 14 points, and Mitchell Landis chipped in 11 points.
Omar Hart knocked down 20 points for Best Buy. John Rogers made one 3-pointer and 14 points, and Jasper Powell contributed seven points, including one 3-pointer.
