30A posted the biggest win with a 28-1 victory over SoWal in the first round of tournament play in the Coed Softball Leagues at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Other big winners on opening night of the tournaments were Free Agents with a 25-22 win over Clemenza’s Uptown and Emerald Coast Chiropractic with a 22-14 victory over Island Wings.

In the Division III victory, 30A started strong with the 10-run limit in the first inning. They had two more big innings with nine in the third and eight in the fourth.

Chelsea Womack was tops for 30A with a home run, a double and two singles for three RBIs. Scott McLeod tripled, hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs, and Brittany Foerster tripled, doubled and singled for an RBI. Chris Poole and Josh Ring each belted a home run.

Kyle Boyer hit two singles for an RBI for SoWal. Jeanie Rousso singled.

• Destin Locksmithing and Chosen Heating will square off at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday with 30A taking on the winner of that game at 8 p.m.

 

In Division II action, Emerald Coast Chiropractic took charge early with a 9-3 lead in the first two innings. In the fourth, they put up 10 runs leave Island Wings behind. Chiropractic went on to win 22-14.

Todd Preston was tops for Emerald Coast Chiropractic with a triple, two doubles and three singles for an RBI. Shawn Woods hit two triples and two doubles for two RBIs and Clint Clemens connected for two triples, a double and a single for two RBIs.

Frank Lozano led Island Wings with two home runs, a triple, three doubles and two singles for four RBIs. Chris Edmondson slapped a home run, two triples, two doubles and a single for two RBIs.

• La Paz will take on Wing Stop at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday with the winner playing Emerald Coast Chiropractic at 8 p.m.

 

In Division I, Free Agents edged out Clemenza’s 25-22.

Down 17-13 at the end of three innings, Free Agents connected for eight runs in the bottom of the fourth to go up 21-18.

Tiny Lee led Free Agents with two doubles and two singles for six RBIs. Nate Decker hit two triples, a double and a single for three RBIs, and Jordan Brewer hit two triples and a double for three RBIs. Cranking out home runs were Brandon Patzig with two and Dan Candeias, one.

Colton Kilpatrick hit two doubles and two singles for three RBIs for Clemenza’s. Jobina Johnson hit a triple and two singles for an RBI and Joe Feltner tripled and singled for four RBIs. Nelson Campbell slapped a home run.

• TayGray Photography will play Tailfins Merica at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday with the winner advancing to play Free Agents at 8 p.m.

 

In Division IV, Misfits won by forfeit 1-0.

• Landsharks play Navigators at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday with the winner advancing to play Misfits at 8 p.m.
