Out of eight boats participating, Strike Two had two big strikes to bring home the big money in the fourth annual Harbor Docks Summer Open King Mackerel Tournament held over the weekend.
Kelly Patton of Navarre and fishing aboard the Strike Two with Capt. Rob Lupola hauled in a 33.9-pound king mackerel on Saturday and then a 54.9-pounder on Sunday to win top honors in the two-day fishing event.
Patton also won the Ladies Division with the 54.9-pounder and team Strike Two took the Big Three with 118.9 pounds of mackerel.
For the tournament, team Strike Two took home $5,933 in prize money.
Second place overall went to John Tyson aboard the Slip-A-Way with a 42.7-pound king mackerel.
Kramer Clark took third overall with a 20.8-pound mackerel caught aboard the Boggy Bayou.
Joe Gump on the Sea Fix placed fourth with a 20.1-pound king mackerel, while Miki McClung came in fifth with a 10.9-pounder on the Come Fly With Me.
Shawn Straud pulled in the largest dolphin, 4.4 pounds on the Loose Hook’r.
Si Nelson aboard the Boggy Bayou won the Blackfin Tuna Division with a 21.8-pounder.
