Cody Maddux knocked in four runs to lead Fireballers in a 25-24 win over Ace in the Hole in the Coed Division II Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Maddux belted a home run and a single for four RBIs.

Both teams started strong with Ace scoring eight in the top of the first and Fireballers answering with 10.

In the second, Ace scored three and Fireballers two.

In the top of the third, Ace pulled away with the 10-run limit, while Fireballers only scored two.

However, in the next two innings, Fireballers put together enough hits to put seven on the board in the fourth and four in the fifth, while holding Ace to three.

Katie Mosier doubled and singled for five RBIs for Fireballers, while Michael Robbins singled for three RBIs.

Andy Collins connected for four doubles for four RBIs for Ace. Kristin Goergen hit three singles for two RBIs, and Dakota Smith homered for three RBIs.

 

The Track 12, Emerald Coast Chiropractic 5

The Track jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first three innings.

Chiropractic picked up a run in the bottom of the fourth.

In the top of the sixth, The Track put five runs on the board and Chiropractic answered with three in the bottom half.

Greg Griffith and Linda Griffith each hit a double and two singles for The Track. Cory Griffith hit three singles.

Lee Perdue tripled, doubled and singled for Chiropractic. Kat Mortenson doubled and hit two singles, and Kathy Whidden hit two singles.

 

Ace in the Hole 17, Island Wings 16

At the end of three innings, Ace led 15-4.

Island Wings battled back with four in the fourth, three in the sixth and five in the seventh. Ace picked up one in the sixth.

In extra innings, Ace scored the one run needed for the win.

Andy Collins knocked in five runs for Ace on a triple, two doubles and a single. Justin Abdo hit three singles for an RBI and Dakota Smith a double and a single for two RBIs.

Dave Bazylak clobbered three home runs for eight RBIs for Island Wings. Shawn Schrag hit two doubles and a single for two RBIs, and Courtney Stevens hit three singles for two RBIs.

 

Emerald Coast Chiropractic 25, Fireballers 12

Chiropractic stepped out to a 13-5 lead in the first three innings. Chiropractic added one run in the fourth, six in the fifth and five in the seventh for the win.

Todd Preston smacked a home run and three singles for Chiropractic. Teresa Imdieke connected for four singles and Lee Perdue homered, doubled and hit two singles.

Michael Robbins hit four singles for Fireballers, while Cody Maddux and Joey Binaco each hit three singles.
