U.S. Gold Gymnastics Academy, located in Miramar Beach, had a great showing at the USAG Junior Olympic Regional Championships.

The Level 9 and 10 gymnasts competed in Palmetto, Florida, April 12-15 and the Level 7 and 8 gymnasts competed in Athens, Georgia, April 19-22.

“These young ladies have really worked hard all year long to earn such high accolades,” said U.S. Gold Coach/Owner Kathy Dwyer.

“Gymnastics is unlike most sports in that we never stop training. Other sports have one season - gymnastics has a six month competition season and a six month training season. These gymnasts train 20 hours a week in the school year and 30 hours a week in the summer. (I'm) so proud that all their hard work has paid off,” Dwyer said.

Individual honors include:

We are hosting a College Recruitment Camp in October with various NCAA teams being represented so we hope that will continue to get the exposure our girls need to reach their goals.”
