FWB Cheerleaders — 'We're No. 1'
The Fort Walton Beach High School cheer squad brought home the championship title Monday night from the UCA National Cheer Competition held Sunday at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando.
Last week the squad won the FHSAA Cheer Competition to take the Florida state championship for the second year in a row.
Members of the 2011-2012 competitive team include Alexa Allen, Haleigh Anderson, Ashton Bedsole, Kathryn Brennan, Ashli Buffkin, Alexus Flores, Giana Gallegos (captain), Rebekah Glover, Ali Guillory, Lauren Hart (captain), Jordyn Hoffmann, Kristin Hyder, Natalie Lawson, Abbie Maclin, Jamie Miglionico, Devin Paulus, Callie Peterman, Kallee Pugh, Bailey Rathmann, Cassidy Raven, Heather Rone (captain), Riley Santos, Tyler Scarver, Kristen Simms, Lindsay Trigg, Savannah Smith, Lexi Tillman, Joanna Walls and Jaden Wilson. Savannah Pace is on the team but was not in attendance at the national competition.
