Destin boys win on the links

The Destin Middle School boys golf team whipped the Bruner Spartans 167-191 on Thursday.
The win gives the Destin Marlins an 8-1 mark on the season, tied with Ruckel Middle of Niceville. Destin beat Ruckel during the season by 13 strokes.
Davis Bowyer was tops for Destin against Bruner with a score of 39. Alex Lucking scored 42, while Corey Andre and Daniel Butterfield each scored 43. Austin Smith scored 47, and Braden McCall hit a 52.
Up next for the Destin team is the Okaloosa County Middle School Golf Tournament Monday at Adara in Crestview.
