Kiwanis golf tournament at Kelly Plantation
The Destin Kiwanis Club is hosting their 8th annual golf tournament at Kelly Plantation on Monday, Sept. 15.
The event will begin with lunch and registration at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start scramble at 12:30 p.m.
There will also be a silent auction which will include such items as an autographed football from Heisman Trophy Winner Danny Wuerffel, a private sunset flight for two complete with champagne, a golf bag from Edwin Watts, spa services, restaurant gift certificates, celebrity desserts created by the former Sen. Charlie Clary, Sen. Don Gaetz, Mayor Craig Barker and much more. The silent auction is open to non-golfers, so come by and join the fun.
Proceeds from the event will benefit children in Kiwanis-sponsored programs, as well as Destin area schools, the Children’s Advocacy Center, Children in Crisis, Destin YMCA, Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch and Condos for Kids.
The Kiwanis Club has a guest speaker weekly on a variety of topics. They meet every Thursday morning at the Kelly Plantation Club House.
