Little League Opening Day is Saturday

The Destin Little League Opening Day celebration is set to go this Saturday, March 13.
The day will begin with a parade at 9 a.m. that starts at the Destin Elementary School and proceeds down Kelly Street to Dalton Threadgill Little League Park on Hickory Street.
Grand marshal for this year’s parade is Peggy Threadgill and her son Don who will be tossing out the first pitch.
Former mayor Craig Barker will be welcoming the little leaguers at the park, followed by a home run derby, lunch, activities and games from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
