Sandestin wins 30-plus tournament

Wendell Lee fired up the nets for 20 points to lead Sandestin in a 73-58 win over Fudpucker’s in the championship game of the 30-plus Adult Basketball League Spring Tournament at the Destin Community Center.
Lee made seven 2-point shots and six from the free-throw line.
At the half, Sandestin led by only one point.
Erik Nott hit four 3s and two 2-pointers for 16 points for Sandestin while Elliott Davis knocked down three 3s on his way to 15 points.
Cliff Covington was the high-point man for Fudpucker’s with five 3-pointers en route to 18 points. Steve Parker tossed in 15 points, and Esic Rhodes hit one trey on his way to eight points.
In an earlier game, Fudpucker’s came from behind to knock off Funky Blues Shack 69-63.
At the half, Blues Shack led 39-32.
Covington nailed seven 3-pointers en route to 25 points for Fudpucker’s. Richard Rogers hit four treys on his way to 17 points, and Esic Rhodes made nine points.
Cory Fosdyck tossed in two 3s on his way to 19 points for Blues Shack. Eric Plasier and Aaron Bradley each scored 14 points, Plasier made three 3-pointers along the way and Bradley hit two 3s.
