Junior tennis camp begins Sept. 1

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort’s Tennis Center will conducting a Junior Tennis Camp, for ages 5 to 17, beginning Monday, Sept. 1 and running through the fall.
The instructional camp takes place from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Monday (drills), Wednesday (drills) and Thursday (round robin) each week throughout September, October and November, and is geared to players of all levels including beginner, intermediate and advanced. New to the program this fall are special beginner-focused sessions from 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The camp, which includes drills, instruction, round-robin play, beverages, a player road map of progression and more, is $25 per session; the one-hour beginner sessions are $20 per session.
Sandestin’s team of professionals brings more than 70 years of experience to the courts and works with parents and students to help each player set goals and progress in the game.
The Sandestin Tennis Center teaches overall game improvement for the novice and experienced player during junior tennis camps and private lessons. It also integrates local tournament players with the state, sectional and nationally-ranked players who train with Sandestin tennis pros. The junior tennis players enjoy a program with a competitive atmosphere that promises to keep them focused on their game.
The professional staff keeps active players busy year-round with daily activities and a variety of special events. The Tennis Center offers private lessons, group lessons, juniors programs, group packages, ladies team challenges, high performance training, tennis equipment rental, cardio tennis, and weekly clinics and round robin play.
