Shades of Destin rolls over Old Bay Steamer

Oliver Thompson ripped the ball for six hits to lead Shades of Destin in a 37-23 win over Old Bay Steamer in the Men’s Division III Softball League at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.
Thompson was 6-for-6 with a homer, triple, double and three singles for seven RBIs.
Shades fell behind early but rallied in their last two turns at bat with 16 runs in the fifth innings, and then 11 in the sixth.
Chong Lewis hit two doubles and two singles for two RBIs for Shades. Kelly Carmedale tripled, hit two doubles and three singles for four RBIs. Brandon Creinin also hit an in-the-park homer.
Pete Knowles was the big stick for Old Bay with two homers and two singles for six RBIs. Ron Benway knocked four singles for two RBIs, and Lance Buck hit four singles. Jeremy Hamilton belted a three-run homer, and Chad Starewicz connected for an in-the-park homer.
•Cold Stone 14, Frank’s Cash and Carry 6
Jonathan Wright and Lamar Martin each hit three singles for two RBIs for Cold Stone. Jeremy Vaiyanet homered and singled for three RBIs.
George Schissler led Frank’s with a homer, double and a single for three RBIs. Victor Barrett hit two singles for two RBIs, and Chris Schissler hit two singles.
•Spiva Water Works 14, Rogers Home and Pool Service 12
Eddie Rivera was tops for Spiva with two doubles and two singles. Mark Boyd tripled and hit two singles, and Tim Miller hit three singles for three RBIs.
Blaze Crank homered, doubled and singled for three RBIs for Rogers. Adam Burke hit three singles for two RBIs, and B.J. Wood doubled and connected for two singles.

MEN’S IV
•Countrywide Home Loans 19, ECA Inc. 0
Jaime Ruckel homered and hit two singles for six RBIs for Countrywide. Bubba Shealy hit three singles, and Jeremy Hebert doubled and ripped two singles for two RBIs.
Paul Clever and Dave Stephens each singled for ECA.
•Shoreline Church 16, Countrywide Home Loans 15
Chris Lawson led Shoreline with five singles for two RBIs. Brent Hoogewarf doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs, and  Dusty Joseph connected for two singles for three RBIs.
Clint Moreland belted four singles for Countrywide. Bubba Shealy hit three singles for four RBIs, and Cleve Daniels popped two singles for six RBIs.
•U-Park Valet 24, Here For Beer 17
Brandon Blyden belted four singles for three RBIs for U-Park. James Francis hit two homers and a double for six RBIs, and Matt Herbermann tripled, doubled and singled for two RBIs. Brian Kjeer hit a two-run homer.
Aaron Mauck tripled, doubled and knocked two singles for six RBIs for Here for Beer. Dustin Garvin hit three singles for an RBI, and Seth Patrick doubled and singled for two RBIs.
