Gulf Coast Beach Service seals up win over Finest Walls

Tommy O’Drain netted 23 points to lead Gulf Coast Beach Service in a 70-53 win over Finest Walls and Ceilings in the first round of tournament play in the 18-plus Adult Basketball League at the Destin Community Center.
O’Drain nailed 11 2-pointers and one from the free-throw line.
At the half, Gulf Coast was on top 41-21.
McKinley Bethea made one 3-pointer on his way to 21 points for Gulf Coast. Todd Weber added 11 points.
Michael Garrison scored 16 points for Finest Walls. David Thornton hit two 3s en route to 14 points, and Carlton Marshall made two 3s on his way to 12 points.
•Harbor Docks 73, The A-Team 72 (OT)
At the half, Harbor Docks led by 11 points, but A-Team came back to tie the game at 70-70 by the end of regulation.
Geoff Brower tossed in one 3-pointer on his way to 25 points for Harbor Docks. Brad Benton made one trey en route to 20 points, and David Schmidt knocked down two 3s en route to 14 points.
Clark Brown was high-point man for A-Team with four treys and 22 points. Dan Duck hit one 3-pointer en route to 19 points, and Dustin Thompson scored 12 points.
•The Tone Rangers 72, Destiny Worship Center 43
At the half, Rangers led 31-23.
Top scorer for the Rangers was Keith Watters with four 3s and 18 points. Corey Chaplin made one trey on his way to 17 points, and Derrick McKinnie chipped in 10 points.
Carleton Tyus hit four 3s and two free throws for 14 points for Destiny Worship. Bragham Chamble and Vidal Dumas each contributed seven points.
