Dave Holifield connected for three hits to lead Horton Landworks in an 18-14 win over Coastal RE/MAX for the championship in the Real Skills Division I tournament at Morgan Sports Center in Destin.

Holifield doubled and hit two singles for two RBIs in the win.

Horton jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the first three innings.

Chris Lawson hit three singles for Horton and Justin Ray connected for two singles for an RBI. Jared Morton slapped a grand slam in the seventh inning.

Corey Hutchins ripped a homer and three singles for two RBIs for Coastal. Paul Davis homered and doubled for four RBIs, and Kyle Ely hit two singles for an RBI.

In the semifinal game, Horton Landworks knocked out Legion of Doom 19-16.

At the end of four innings, the game was tied at 9-9. Horton fell behind but pulled it out in the eighth on a three-run homer by Justin Ray.

Chris Lawson hit four singles for three RBIs for Horton. Justin Shelton hit four singles for an RBI, and Jimmy Ross hit three singles for an RBI.

Pat Hozell hit four singles for Legion for two RBIs. Robin Noah hit two singles for an RBI, and Casey Schissler doubled and singled for three RBIs.



McLendon Builders beat Prime Lending 24-12 for the title of the Real Skills Division II tournament.

McLendon led 14-3 at the end of two innings.

Adam Conant tripled, doubled and hit two singles for McLendon. Brian Martinez homered and hit two singles, and Andrew McLendon connected for two doubles and two singles.

Ryan Olin doubled and hit three singles for Prime Lending. Rustin Sorenson homered, doubled and singled and Wes Nelson clobbered a home run.
