Madelaine Anne Hull

Madelaine Anne Hull, fondly known to family and friends as Laney, went to be with the Lord Jan. 14, 2014. She passed away peacefully at her home in Niceville, Fla. Laney was born on Feb. 4, 1922, in Upper Darby, Penn., to Robert W. and Anna Hackett. 

Laney was married for 61 years to the late Lt. Col. Moylan “Cy” Hull. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Debby Hull and Dale and Marcia Hull. 

She enriched the lives of those she touched through her faith, always ready to share her love of Jesus, kindness and witty sense of humor. Making others feel special was her mission. She had a unique ability to sense a person’s need and provide just the right encouragement, counsel and prayer. 

Laney will be remembered for her love of painting in a variety of mediums, boating, golfing, her famous rum cake and more than 39 years of service as a Red Cross volunteer at Eglin Air Force Base Hospital. 

A visitation with family will be held at 10 a.m. Jan. 17 at First Presbyterian Church, Niceville, followed by an 11 a.m. memorial service. The family will receive friends at a reception after the service in the church fellowship hall. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Laney’s loving caregiver, Sheila Hand, and Covenant Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Laney Hull may be made to the building fund of First Presbyterian Church, Niceville or Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation in Destin.

Frank V. Moss

Frank V. Moss, 76, passed away on Jan. 10, 2014. He was born in Eddyville, Ky., on March 27, 1937.

He retired from Westvaco Paper Mill in Wickliffe, Ky., then relocated to Destin, Fla., where he worked as a real estate agent for 10 years.

Frank is preceded in death by his stepson, Anthony Scott.

He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Moss; daughter, Crystal Moss; sons, Mike and Mark Kissinger; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Michelle Kissinger, Shane, Aaron, Ryan and Christa Kissinger, and Robin and Rachael Shepard.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 18 in Paducah, Ky., at Oasis Christian Church.

Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's foundation.
