Accomplished musician and performer David Seering, accompanied by pianist Bobby Van Deusen and vocalist Susie Griffith, delighted a near sell-out crowd raising almost $18,000 for Children in Crisis. This pushed the three-year total to more than $50,000 for the CIC children.

Joining David on stage to complete the evening of entertainment was Steve Gilmore, (bass), Brent Persell, (drums) and entertainer Pat McAlpine of Nepean, Ontario, Canada.

The concert was held last weekend at the Village Baptist Church in Destin and all proceeds were donated to help feed, clothe and care for the foster children living at the CIC Children’s Neighborhood. Each year about 100 foster children have a safe, secure, loving home thanks to the great support of the community.

The concert included a musical tribute to Liberace and to David’s father, Robert. Seering has received many accolades throughout his career and has performed for three former presidents. He calls the Emerald Coast home and he’s always looking for ways to give back to the community.

“Again this year, David raised the bar high and we are very thankful that he and his friends donated their time and talents to benefit CIC’s at-risk kids,” said CIC President/CEO Ken Hair. “The event was a huge success and we can’t thank David and all the supporters of CIC enough!”
