What launch is closest to you that doesn’t burden your budget? The Log compiled a list of boat ramps in and around Destin to help you find a new launch to love.



 



Ross Marler Park



1275 Santa Rosa Blvd., Fort Walton Beach



With 20 boat trailer parking spaces, 80 car parking spots and a tram stop, this public boat launch is sure to please the whole family, especially since the playground can entertain the children while the adult launch the boat. Also, this launch is only about six miles from access to the Gulf, so offshore anglers need not worry.



 



Pocahontas



565A Pocahontas Drive, Fort Walton Beach



This small boat launch gives residents and visitors alike access to Cinco Bayou, which leads into the bay. However, parking is unavailable here, so make sure you plan accordingly.



 



Rickey Avenue



165 Rickey Avenue, Fort Walton Beach



Located just between Garnier Bayou and Poquito Bayou, this small boat launch features limited trailer parking across the street from the entrance.



 



Swift Bayou



213 Edrehi Avenue, Niceville



If you enjoy the Bay over the Gulf, this access is for you. Resting right near the Mid-Bay Bridge, this boat ramp also has limited trailer parking.



 



Water Street



99 Water Street, Fort Walton Beach



With access to Cinco Bayou, this launch rests about 10 miles from Destin.



 



Charles E Cessna Landing



County Road 393 North, Santa Rosa Beach



With access to Hogtown Bayou and the Choctawhatchee Bay, this double lane boat launch also has limited trailer parking.



 



Legion Park



119 Crest Drive, Destin



This single lane launch has a number of parking spots, some even including trailer parking and gives boaters access to the Bay.



 



Choctaw Beach Park



12481 State Highway 20, Choctaw Beach



With limited trailer parking, this bay access launch rest just minutes away from the Mid-Bay Bridge.



 



Destin Marina (Commercially Owned)



7 Calhoun Ave., Destin



With 30 trailer spots available, this privately owned marina charges a launch fee of $10 and has slips available to dock your boat for an additional fee. 



 



Joe’s Bayou Recreation Area



800 Beach Drive, Destin



This public boat launch offers 55 trailer spots for those boating that day, but non-Destin boaters are charged $15 to launch their boat here. As a Destin resident, you can obtain an annual pass for $30 to use the launch anytime.
